John Camiolo, President
John has been helping clients optimize their financial needs and employee benefits for nearly 20 years. In 1994 he founded the Custom Benefits Group, which was renamed John James Benefits, Ltd. in 2004.
Throughout his career John has received many industry awards. Most recently he was recognized by the Long Island Business News as one of the top 40 rising business stars under the age of 40, with its "40 under 40 "award.
As one of the industry's top producers John has been influential in the shaping and distribution of healthcare in the New York area. He participated in several Brokers Advisory Boards, such as Oxford’s Strategic Advisory Board which is an invitation only Broker think tank geared to create more efficient benefits and distribution systems.
John founded the Long Island Marrow Organization and currently sits on the board of The Marrow Foundation, and the Terry Farrell Marrow Fund. All three charities assist individuals in need of life-saving bone marrow transplants. His work has helped register 10,000 potential marrow donors, raise over one million dollars, and facilitate nearly 2 dozen marrow transplants.
John is a graduate from the State University of New York at Geneseo with a degree in Accounting. He resides in East Northport, New York with his wife Caryn, and three children. He enjoys spending time with his family, his charitable work, tennis, golf, and skiing.
Scott Margolis, Director of Client Services
As the Director of Client Services, Scott ensures client satisfaction and retention by helping each client meet their individual financial and benefits goals.
His career began in 1997 within the benefits department of New York Life. Since joining John James Benefits in 1999, Scott has focused his energy on maintaining and expanding client relationships. His hard work has enabled John James Benefits, Ltd to achieve one of the highest client retention rates in the Health Insurance industry.
Scott is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo. He and his wife Brooke reside in Long Beach, NY. He enjoys golf, skiing, reading and traveling.
